Transcription: The appeal of these houses lies in their seeming resemblance to originals. Timber framing itself is an historic craft, and each of the following houses, Ipswich, Parson Capon, and Shadwell, follows the plan of an actual early American house. The authority of those past lives is displayed here. The addition of modern kitchens, bathrooms, and utility rooms stretch the claim of authenticity, but the builders of the originals would no doubt have welcomed these changes.
